Cherry Stem Pitting
(causal agent: unknown)

Symptoms similar to those of Prunus Stem Pitting (caused by Tomato ringspot nepovirus).

Leaves are chlorotic and rolled, shoot growth decreases and eventually terminal shoots dieback.

Stem pitting symptoms are severe and honey-comb-like in appearance. Bark is extremely thick at the base of the stem.

Fruits are small and attached to short, thickened stems.
